Gold Coast, and the people in it
Our Gold Coast advisers work with people across the Gold Coast and the northern rivers, including Southport, Broadbeach, Robina, Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Coolangatta, Nerang, Hope Island and Currumbin.
The Gold Coast has an unusually high proportion of self-employed people and small business owners, alongside a large retiree and interstate migrant population. Tourism, construction and property drive much of the local economy, which means household income here is more cyclical than the national average.
Two questions come up constantly. For business owners, how to build something outside the business, given nobody is making superannuation contributions on your behalf and the business may not sell for what you hope. For new arrivals, how to convert the proceeds of a southern property sale into an income without making an irreversible decision in the first year.

Five stages,
not five hundred pages.
The first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing. From there it’s a documented process, and you see the reasoning at every step rather than a recommendation landing on your desk.

At the heart of advice is the desire to make people’s lives better. Compassion, support, empowerment. It is rarely ever just about money.

Questions people ask us in Gold Coast
Do I have to go to Brisbane for good financial advice?
No. Our Gold Coast advisers are part of a national group, so you get the research, technical support and investment resources of a firm with 32 offices, delivered by someone who lives locally and will still be here in ten years. There is no advantage to a Brisbane postcode.
hich areas do you cover from the Gold Coast office?
Gold Coast and the surrounding area, including Southport, Broadbeach, Robina, Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, Coolangatta, Nerang, Hope Island and Currumbin. If you are further out, we can meet by video or arrange to come to you.
Can I meet by phone or video instead of coming in?
Yes, and plenty of our Gold Coast clients do. The advice is the same either way. Most people mix the two: an initial meeting in person, then reviews by video.
What does financial advice cost?
Fees depend on how complex your situation is and what you need. We quote in writing before you engage, so you decide with the number in front of you rather than after the fact. The first conversation is free and carries no obligation.
Do I have enough money to need an adviser?
Advice tends to matter most at moments of change rather than at a particular balance. Retiring, selling a business or a property, an inheritance, a redundancy, a separation. If you are facing a decision you cannot easily undo, that is usually the point, whatever the number.
Can you help with Age Pension and Centrelink?
Yes. Working out entitlements, how assets and income are assessed, and how a decision about super or an investment affects what you receive is a routine part of retirement advice.
Are your Gold Coast advisers qualified?
Yes. All of our advisers meet the education, training and ethical standards required to give personal financial advice in Australia and appear on ASIC's Financial Advisers Register. Individual qualifications are listed on each adviser's profile.
What is a best interests duty?
It is a legal obligation to act in your best interests when giving personal advice, and to put your interests ahead of ours wherever the two could conflict. It is the reason a recommendation has to be documented with the reasoning behind it rather than simply asserted.
Do you also do home loans?
Yes, through our Gold Coast lending team. Advice and lending sit in the same group, so if you are weighing up a mortgage alongside a retirement or investment decision, both conversations can happen together.
Gold Coast advice, from people who live here.
Thirty minutes. In our office, at your kitchen table, or by video. No fee, no obligation. You will leave knowing more than when you started, even if you never come back.
