Living well in retirement

From managing super drawdowns to aged care planning and leaving something for the people you love. We help you make the right calls at every step.

What's happening?

More time. More to think about. Retirement looks different for everyone, but the questions it raises tend to be the same. How do I make my money last, what does life actually cost from here, and what do I want to leave behind? Most clients we meet at this stage are juggling all three at once, often without realising how connected they are.

The right advice helps you see the full picture, not just what you have, but how to make it work for the life you want and the people you love.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my retirement savings last?

It depends on how much you've saved, how much you spend, your investment returns and whether you receive the Age Pension. Rather than a single number, we help you build a sustainable drawdown plan and review it over time so it keeps reflecting your life.

How much does aged care cost in Australia?

Aged care fees usually combine a basic daily fee, a means-tested care fee, and an accommodation cost (paid as a lump sum, a daily payment, or a mix). The total depends on your assets, income and the provider. We help you understand and plan for it.

Is a reverse mortgage safe?

Reverse mortgages are regulated and carry negative equity protection, so you can't owe more than your home's value. They can be useful, but they reduce the equity you leave behind and the debt compounds, so they suit some situations and not others. We help you weigh it up honestly.

Can I give money to my children without affecting my Age Pension?

There are limits on how much you can gift before it affects your pension under the assets and income tests. We help you understand the rules so you can help your family without undermining your own position.
