Getting retirement ready
Retirement planning isn’t a single conversation.
It builds over time. The decisions around super, income and timing are more connected than most people realise. Planning early can mean more options and less stress.
What's happening?
This stage of life sits in an interesting place.
You’re still working, still earning, but retirement has moved from a distant idea to a real question.
Most clients we meet here are thinking about the same things. When can I actually stop? Will I have enough? What do I need to do between now and then? The answers depend on how your super, income and assets are structured today. That’s where we start.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much super do I need to retire?
There's no single figure - it depends on the lifestyle you want, whether you own your home, and whether you'll receive the Age Pension. Industry bodies publish "comfortable" and "modest" retirement benchmarks as a guide, but the real question is whether you're on track for your plan. We help you work that out.
When can I access my super?
Generally once you reach your preservation age (now 60 for anyone born on or after 1 July 1964) and meet a condition of release, such as retiring. Some limited early-access situations exist.
Can I retire if I still have a mortgage?
Often yes, but it changes the maths - your retirement income has to cover repayments, or you may look at restructuring or downsizing first. We help you go into retirement with a clear plan for any remaining debt.
Will I be eligible for the Age Pension?
It depends on your age and on the income and assets tests. Many retirees receive a part pension alongside their own savings. We help you understand how your situation interacts with the rules.
