With over 21 years’ experience in financial services, James Lutze is a Team Leader and Trusted Lending Strategist at Viridian Lending, specialising in complex lending solutions for professionals, business owners, investors and high-net-worth clients.

Before entering lending, James spent more than seven years as a professional Futures Trader, developing and executing trading strategies across Australian Interest Rate and US Equity Index Futures markets. This background provides deep expertise in interest rate analysis, risk management and market dynamics, helping clients make informed lending and wealth creation decisions.

Over the past 14 years, including a successful tenure with Smartmove, James has built a reputation for delivering strategic lending advice, exceptional service and strong negotiation outcomes. His expertise includes complex income structures involving trusts and companies, private banking, debt recycling, investment lending, luxury property finance, asset finance and structuring debt efficiently to support long-term financial objectives.

A two-time recipient of the Smartmove Customer Service of the Year Award, James is passionate about building lasting client relationships and helping clients create wealth through well-structured lending strategies.

Outside of work, James enjoys snowboarding, staying active and keeping fit. A lifelong student of financial markets, he has a strong interest in investing, trading, economics and cosmology. He also remains a loyal, albeit long-suffering, supporter of the Wallabies.
